Indications:
For the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderately severe Alzheimer’s dementia.
For the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderately severe dementia in patients with idiopathic Parkinson's disease
Dosage and Administration:
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Your doctor will tell you what dose of this medicine to take.
Treatment usually starts with a low dose.
Your doctor will slowly increase your dose depending on how you respond to treatment.
Swallow the capsules whole with a drink.
Do not open or crush the capsules.
Take rivastigmine twice a day, in the morning and evening, with food.
Administration with food increases drug tolerability.
To benefit from your medicine, take it every day.
Do not stop taking your capsules. It is important that you carry on taking rivastigmine for as long as your doctor tells you.
Contraindication:
Hypersensitivity to the active substance (rivastigmine), to other carbamate derivatives or to any of the excipients.
